How to get there
Pedernales is about 4 hours from Santo Domingo via the Barahona road, and about 45 minutes from the Haitian border. Nearest airports are Barahona or Las Américas International Airport (SDQ), followed by a drive.
Car rental
Best to rent in Santo Domingo or Barahona, as Pedernales has limited rental fleet. To reach Bahía de las Águilas, drive to the boat landing, then take a boat; bring your passport due to proximity to Haiti.
