Bahía de las Águilas

Bahía de las Águilas, inside Jaragua National Park (Pedernales), is an unspoiled beach with 8 km of white sand and crystal-clear turquoise water, with no buildings or services. It can only be reached by boat (10-25 minutes from La Cueva or Playa San Luis, facing Cabo Rojo) or by 4x4 vehicle along a dirt track. Considered by many the most beautiful beach in the Caribbean, it calls for bringing water, food, a sunshade and biodegradable sunscreen; the best season is from December to April. From the shore you can snorkel over a coral reef in excellent condition.
