How to get there
Montecristi is accessible via the Northwest Highway from Santiago or via the autopista from Santo Domingo (about 3.5 hours). The nearest airport is Cibao International Airport (STI) in Santiago.
Car rental
Rent a car in Santiago or Santo Domingo; there are few rental agencies in Montecristi. A standard vehicle is sufficient for the malecón and most of the park; check the route to the lighthouse inside the National Park.
