Boca Chica

Boca Chica, 30 km from Santo Domingo, is one of the closest beaches to the capital, with warm, shallow, calm waters protected by a coral reef. Known for its coastal fish and seafood cuisine, its pedestrian malecón and lively nightlife, it is the favorite day-trip escape of Dominicans. The bay is suitable for children and for kayaking and snorkeling close to shore.
