Playa Cosón

Playa Cosón, about a 15-minute drive from Las Terrenas, is one of the longest and most unspoiled beaches on the Samaná peninsula: 6 km of golden sand, coconut palms and turquoise waters. It is perfect for long walks, horseback rides and surfing, with a relaxed atmosphere away from the big hotels. At its southeastern end, a hill is reachable only by 4x4 and offers sweeping views over the whole bay.
