Isla Saona

Isla Saona is the classic excursion island from Bayahibe or La Romana: you arrive by catamaran or speedboat across Parque Nacional del Este, with snorkeling stops in crystal-clear waters. It includes white-sand beaches and palm trees, the Piscina Natural (a shallow lagoon full of starfish), mangroves and a typical Dominican lunch. It is the best-selling full-day excursion of the southeast and one of the most photographed in the country.
