How to get there
Monte Plata is about 2 hours from Santo Domingo via the autopista Duarte. To reach the waterfalls, you need a private vehicle or an organized tour from the capital, as there is no airport in the area.
Car rental
Rent a car in Santo Domingo, as there are few rental agencies in Monte Plata. A vehicle with good ground clearance makes the final stretch to the waterfalls easier; check road conditions during rainy season.
